As part of the STEM project in Vrgorac Primary School, four teachers, project participants, in the period from 15 to 20 On September 2023, visited the Norwegian Museum of Technology and Science, the Maritime Museum and the Fram Museum (Museum of Polar Research) in the city of Oslo.
As guests of partners from the University of Stavanger, they visited the local school Smiodden Skole, where they got to know the educational system of Norway and work in Norwegian schools.
At the University of Stavanger, they visited chemistry, physics, and mechatronics laboratories and participated in robotics workshops, and an online meeting was held with fellow teachers in Croatia
The partners of the University of Stavanger organized a visit to the surrounding historical sites, a fishing settlement, the Science Center and a local farm, and organized trip to the island of Sor-Hidle as an example of the positive influence of man on microclimatic conditions and landscaping.
It should be noted that cooperation with the school in Norway on future projects has been agreed upon.
The STEM project at Vrgorac Elementary School was applied by Vrgorac Elementary School in 2021, approved in 2022, and financed from the Financial mechanism of the European Economic Area for the period from 2014 to 2021 and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for the period from 2014 to 2021. and with funds from the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds.
